Discovering hidden food intolerances for my patients is a major mainstay of my practice. Almost every patient that comes to me, be it a child or adult generally has this test done. Why? Because a lot of the conditions I treat from autism to depression or IBS have a dietary component to it.
I may have adult patients do a 3 week elimination diet, to see if their symptoms improve, and most likely they see an improvement.
In addition, I also have the patient do an IgG and IgE food antibodies test, and celiac test. When we discover food sensitivity and they are removed from the diet periodically, many symptoms improve or resolve including fatigue, depression, anxiety, acne, and IBS just to name a few.
