IV SALINE OZONE THERAPY
Ozone is a clear gas made up of 3 Oxygen atoms, and it was first discovered in Germany in the late 1800’s. The mechanism of action Ozone is to gently cause your own cells (when they encounter the Ozone molecules) to produce antioxidants, and antioxidant enzyme systems to reduce inflammation.
Numerous studies have proven that ozone therapy effects are consistent, and the therapy is safe and does not cause side effects. Effectiveness of Ozone therapy has been examined in clinical trials. It is well tolerated by patients.
The use of Ozonized saline was successfully developed in Russia in October 1977. Two schools, in Russia and Ukraine study this method of application in patients. A high number of scientific studies demonstrating efficiency were submitted at the eight Practical Scientific Conferences which took place in Russia from 1992-2014.
A major world expert in the chemistry of Ozone, Professor S. Razumovsky, found out through investigation, that the processes of the decomposition of Ozone in Saline is not accompanied by the production of harmful metabolites.
During this time, many doctors worldwide offer this safe and effective Intravenous therapy to patients for a wide range of medical conditions: cardiovascular diseases, detoxification and chronic inflammation, infectious diseases, as well as skin and burn diseases.
The Ozone gas is bubbled into a sterile saline solution for 10 minutes and the dose is based on your weight and condition being treated. The Ozonized saline is then introduced into your vein via intravenous methods. The process takes about 30-40 minutes. The process is like getting an IV hydration of saline by your doctor in the office or in the hospital.
The number of sessions a patient requires varies on the individual and his/her condition. In general, 10 sessions once weekly are a good place to start.
Major Auto-Hemolytic Ozone therapy is another method of getting IV ozone. This method requires a blood draw to remove a certain amount of blood from your vein. The blood is then ozonized and readministered back to you via a sterile saline bag. Majority of my patients have tried both methods and they prefer the Ozonized Saline IV method better.
Even though scientific evidence of IV ozone exists in the literature, there is not enough peer reviewed studies. Ozone therapy by any method including IV is not FDA approved to treat or cure any medical condition.
